The main protagonist of this genre-crossing production is a floating colossal black entity. Is it a sea monster, the embodiment of capitalism or climate change? It is up to you. What is certain is that you don't want to meet it and let it chase and toss you around like a group of performers.
Wreck is not a science fiction film, but a reflection of reality and human vulnerability. But even in the darkness there can be a glimmer of hope that we can regain our freedom.
Pietro Marullo
Italian artist based in Brussels, where he founded the ensemble INSIEME IRREALI Company. His work, which transcends artistic disciplines, connects visual and performative art, installations and modern technologies. It focuses on social, historical and anthropological topics. His works have been presented on four continents at important world festivals, stages and platforms. Since 2015, he has been investigating the link between reality and symbolic language on an anthropological and aesthetic level. His experimental work WRECK was among the selected pieces of the Aerowaves 2018 platform and also succeeded in the PQ 2023 program.
