Performed by a fierce duo of two dancers to music played by a DJ, The Lion’s Den is a captivating and entertaining duet that makes you question who follows and who leads in our world as well as on stage. At the end of the show you'll be invited for a disscusion and then on stage to throw your own shapes!

Media, manipulation, social networks.
Today's challenges – an inseparable part of life for the next generation. How do children work with media content? How does it translate into how they move, how they dance? What gestures speak to them? Sabina Bočková and Johana Pocková adapted the original production of The Lion's Den for the 8+ age group as part of the Shape It project with respect for children as active partners. In a dynamic way on stage, they talk about the fact that fun can easily turn into darkness and back again. The encounter with the resulting shape is a unique chance to examine the topic of ubiquitous media content other than through a phone display. And maybe an opportunity to get closer to the world of our own children.

Johana Pocková studied at Duncan Centre Conservatory and two years at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance). She got the Jarmila Jeřábková Award 2017 for her choreography MURDER! A Little Comics History. In 2019 she founded a company POCKETART.

Sabina Bočková (*1995) studied at Dance Center Prague. She was a member of South Bohemian Ballet and a soloist of Prague Chamber Ballet. Since 2017 she has established herself on the Czech independent dance scene. She is a co-founder of the company POCKETART.
