The TANEC PRAHA 2024 Festival takes place under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.
Through their dynamic, rhythmical, and unrestrained dance, ten young performers at the outset of their careers open up questions related to our world and future. What shall we do? What kind of people do we want to become? How can we reach ultimate freedom?
Erika Zueneli's Landfall is an ode to individuality and diversity. The choreographer of Italian origin does not aim for perfection in technique. On the contrary, she seeks singularity and beauty in chaos. The uniqueness of performers is accentuated not only through choreography but also through a surprising approach to stage design and music. The results generate an almost infectious feeling of freedom. The audience cannot take their eyes off the dancers, following their rapid movements and constant metamorphosis that create colourful and animated patterns on the stage.
The performance contains nudity.
Erika Zueneli has been developing her career as a choreographer and dancer in Italy, New York, France, and Belgium, where she has encountered significant personalities in the artistic sphere. In 2008, she established her own company Tant'amati/Asbl in Brussels.
Erika's signature style resides in her interest in human relations and a tireless curiosity to discover countless possibilities, transforming the everyday into the unexpected. Her distinctive perception of reality and precise work with form allow her to convey deep meaning through a banal gesture. Even though she explores various questions about human existence, her choreographies are not short of humour and appropriate detached views.
