Performance ICARUS will get the festival “dancing” around the theme of borders and freedom. Czech and Slovak teenagers together with three professional artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and France will reveal to the audience their feelings about the world today and their coming adulthood. The production, created both in Prague and Nitra, is the result of a participatory process lasting more than two years, taking place in the co-production network Be SpectACTive!, in close cooperation with festivals TANEC PRAHA and Divadelná Nitra.
The performance uses monologic audio recordings of young people in the Czech language only.
A short documentary about the journey to the creation of ICARUS, connecting Czech and Slovak teenagers with three professional artists from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and France. The authors' thoughts are reflected in the main idea of the participatory project, while pointing out the importance of strong ties and the sustainability of cross-border cooperation during the pandemic.
