Inspired by the piece What Trees Do Not Tell, this workshop proposes a physical journey through urban and contemporary dance, with a special focus on partnering, listening, and connection between bodies. A space where movement dialogues with nature, contact, and gaze, reflecting on what we share with trees: roots, time, adaptation, and memory. An invitation to explore the body as a sensitive territory, from urban impulse to organic calm. And if you cut a branch… does the tree not bleed?
Kiko López and Héctor Plaza are distinctive figures on the Spanish dance scene in recent years. They first met in 2014, and their collaboration gradually developed into a long-term artistic partnership grounded in mutual trust and shared physical experience. Their joint work draws on a diverse dance background including contemporary dance, hip hop and street styles, tribal influences and modern jazz. Their signature lies in an authentic stage presence, a high level of physical precision and a sensitive approach to partnering and space. In their projects, they focus on the relationship between body and environment, as well as on the honesty of a shared encounter with the audience.
