Are you interested in journalism, podcasting and contemporary dance? Would you like to develop your own voice and learn how to create quality audio content?

Festival TANEC PRAHA is offering a spot in a podcast workshop When Dance Speaks that will take place during this year's festival, 1. - 5. 06. 2026. 

The workshop will focus on:

  • technical skills (from sound design to interview formats), 
  • structure and scriptwriting, 
  • developing personal style and language to record about contemporary dance.

The workshop will equip you with the tools to produce insightful, structured and sonically polished audio content.

The workshop will be led by Veronika Jošková Štefanová, Cultural journalist at Český rozhlas Vltava, and will give emerging journalists an opportunity to:

  • explore how to talk about dance as an interdisciplinary art form,
  • find their own journalistic language, 
  • gain new skills in podcasting,
  • meet artists and see internationally acclaimed performances.

The participants will be tasked with recording short audio forms about selected festival performances. The podcasts will be presented on the festival’s website and social media.

Requirements:

  • at least 18 years old
  • basic knowledge of audio editing software (for example Audacity, Reaper) 
  • prior experience with audiovisual production is an advantage, but not a requirement
