Richard Loskot a studio UAII: WATER FOR YOU

The issue of drought and effective water management is increasingly important in our region. Richard Loskot and UAII studio seek to highlight the possibilities of drinking rainwater, which in cities is otherwise normally left to drain into canals. This is enabled by a special nano-filter developed by scientist Jakub Hrůza of Liberec Technical University. The result is a public drinking fountain which is designed to enable passers-by – especially thirsty ones – to immediately recognise that drinking water is on offer. The filters are self-cleaning thanks to solar energy. Aeration bubbles serve to remove impurities. During the festival, the authors will create a pop-up cafe/bar and will offer drinks made with water from the fountain.
