Rianto (ID)
Rianto is an Indonesian dancer and choreographer currently working in Japan who devotes himself to lengger, a traditional Indonesian dance from Central Java. In 2003 he moved to Tokyo, where he founded the classic Javanese dance company Dewandaru Dance Company. He has collaborated with many prominent choreographers, such as Akram Khan (Until the Lions, 2016) and Choy Ka Fai (SoftMachine, 2015) with whom he toured the world. His solo Medium premiered in 2016 and was presented at the Esplanade's da:ns festival in Singapore last year.
