Expose yourself to the glittering surface and reflect your impression of me. There is a desire in me to slip in front of you and start laughing inappropriately. In the confrontation, we call the uncertainty and give embarrassment the green light. We are deadly serious, it’s the REAL DEAL BABY! But when will we be able to finally relax? This this this this play is not a play anymore. 

 

Play, interplay, ending and often even defeat – the oscillation between tandem and rival position, support and loss of support, loneliness and acceptance of the other. How easy and difficult it is to be honest, how tempting it is to slip into a sincerity that is calculating and self-beautifying. Dis play is a disjointed game of distorted non-existent rules reflected in the fluid mass of time.

 

The performance includes interaction with the audience.

Jitka Čechová is a graduate of the Duncan Centre Conservatory (2017). As part of her studies, she took part in a dance internship in New York City (Professional Certificate Studies Program José Limón Dance Foundation), several contemporary dance research programs (in Belgium and the Netherlands) and a research stay in China (CEEC Summer Dance Camp 2017) focused on classical Chinese technique, kung fu, performance and creation. She is the creator of transFormace, Nymfa, Chiaroscuro Hédonistico, DeProfundis and Growth. As a dancer, she collaborated on the projects White Piece (chor.: Sofia Krantz, Jerusalem Days), Pulsar (chor.: Michal Záhora) and Vyprovokuj (se) tancem! (author: Michal Nikodem).

Tereza Lenerová graduated from The Theaterschool Amsterdam. She gained experience as a dancer with various choreographers in the Czech Republic and abroad. With her duet Variable with Einat Ganz, she qualified for Aerowaves Spring Forward. For other experiments, she co-founded the space Truhlárna, where she created her most successful solo to date – Swish, which was awarded the main prize at the Czech Dance Platform and received a number of invitations to prestigious festivals abroad. Her next work Don't Stop received special jury recognition at the Czech Dance Platform 2019 and is part of the Aerowaves Twenty21 prestigious selection. In 2021, she introduced choreographies dis pla y, which she created together with Jitka Čechová, and There Is a Sense of Being.
