TANEC PRAHA Festival 2010 | 24 May – 29 June 2010

The situation of Tanec Praha definitively stabilised, even succeeded in inviting two major productions to the Karlín theatre, neither of which disappointed: Jasmin Vardimon again showed the interesting ways in which Israeli artists, in this case permanently living in London, perceive the possibilities of dance. The culmination of the festival was the first ever guest appearance by Alain Platel. His famous ensemble les ballets C de la B paid tribute to Pina Bausch in the performance Out of Context. PONEC also welcomed other interesting names, such as Pál Frenák or Nicole Seiler. Among the new names at Aerowaves the most impressive was La Macana with its powerful physical expression with roots in Galicia, which toured a number of cities in the Czech Republic.
