TANEC PRAHA Festival 2004 | 1 – 30 June 2004

The Sazka Arena opened and the Batsheva Ensemble manged to thrive in its space. Ohad Naharin was not afraid of the unusual space and audiences took notice. Besides the popular Karine Ponties and Granhøj Dans, Lia Haraki from Cyprus came for the first time. PONEC also welcomed other figures, such as the Slovenian Emil Hrvatin or Souleymana Badolo from Burkina Faso. The festival also welcomed Jorma Uotinen, an exceptional personality from the Finnish scene.

The progressive form of performing arts began after the TANEC PRAHA and 4 Days in Motion festivals present also another festival, Letní Letná, founded by Jiří Turek. The French president in the same year awarded Yvona Kreuzmannová the Knight's Order of Merit for her extraordinary contribution to European cultural cooperation. It was a great honour for the whole team.
