TANEC PRAHA Festival 2003 | 9 – 29 June 2003

By now June had become the traditional time for celebrating dance, and the festival took place not only on famous stages in Prague, but also began to expand into the regions. The Geneva Ballet under new leadership presented Neumeier's Rite of Spring, but also Saburo Teshigawara. Anouk van Dijk arrived with the production of Sunna No Onna, Czech artists became ever more prominent, some working with international choreographers, who also received invitations to the festival: Charles Linehan, Laroque Dance Company. The dark horse of the festival was Granhøj Dans with its so far most successful piece 8 IQ – no woman no cry, which was later embraced by the whole world.
