Level UP is a dynamic and energetic showcase of the full-length performance DUB, which, with its massive scenography, does not fit into many of the theatre spaces available to the festival. Despite this, our audiences do not have to miss this intense experience performed by a diverse group of artists from various corners of the world.

Just as the basis of the performance was created following a call from Dominique Hervieu, the curator of the programme for the Paris Olympia, Amala Dianor accepted the challenge to adapt the play to other open air venues, including for our festival. He has made several art directors wishing for performances in atypical locations very happy this way. From Munich, a team of 11 performers is travelling directly to Prague, from there they go to České Budějovice. The two stops in the Czech Republic are scheduled for the 24th and 25th of June!

It’s not only the dancers who will come, but also a DJ and the author of the music, who can’t hide his background in dance. This will not be Awir Leon’s first appearance at TANEC PRAHA, his electronic beats accompanied the amazing show Sunny, which was brought to the festival by the choreographer Emanuel Gat in 2018.

This year Amala & coll., alongside Awir, intend to get the roof of the WPP on Vltavská, as well as the Vltava riverside in České Budějovice, dancing! They will open the last week of the festival, the climax of which will be a performance of none other than Emanuel Gat in the Karlín Musical Theatre.
