When the Body Speaks: On Our Relationship with Ourselves, Food, and Movement

Centrum Anabell, z. ú. – Kateřina Sloviaková / Kamila Kudlvasrová

The performance R.OSA by Silvia Gribaudi invites us to look at the body differently – with humor, perspective, and joy in movement. But what if we can’t view our body with ease? What if we’re constrained by societal expectations, beauty ideals, or our own self-criticism?

The post-performance discussion opens a space for sharing and reflection on how we perceive our bodies, what movement, dance, and self-expression mean to us. We’ll touch on topics such as eating disorders, body image during adolescence, and the pressure to perform or look a certain way.

With respect, openness, and sensitivity, we will create a safe space for questions, conversation, and personal reflection. On June 20, feel free to arrive half an hour early to learn more about the context of the performance.
