The opening ceremony was a success!
Dear Audience,
The 38th edition of the TANEC PRAHA International Festival has kicked off to an enthusiastic audience! Over the next three weeks, it will bring dance not only to Prague but also to other cities across the Czech Republic, offering a diverse selection of contemporary dance, physical theater, and new circus. Every year, the festival brings prominent figures from the global scene, award-winning companies, and new talents who push the boundaries of contemporary art and explore current social issues.
The program will feature dozens of performances, workshops, and meet-and-greets with artists from Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America. You can look forward to captivating works, exceptional artists, unique projects for public spaces, and performances for children and the whole family.
The festival was officially opened on June 1, 2026, with the production Natural Order of Things by the Spanish-Lebanese duo Guy Nader & Maria Campos at the Ponec - dance venue. The opening night concluded with standing ovations.
Thank you for joining us. We look forward to all the encounters, inspiring conversations, and shared experiences. In the coming days, we’ll share more festival highlights that you definitely shouldn’t miss.
