TANEC PRAHA Festival 2015 | 25 May – 25 June 2015
In a year when Plzen, thanks in large part to the efforts of Yvona Kreuzmannová, was the European Capital of Culture, the management of the festival succeeded in presenting two global dance icons: Sasha Waltz & Guests at the opening in Prague, and as a special event in Plzen and historically for the first time the Batsheva Dance Company with a new work by Ohad Naharin Last Work. Due to great audience interest at the Prague Quadrennial the festival also presented the art-film movement installation Liquid Loft as well as the premiere of a co-production by Tereza Ondrová and Petr Šavel. Mossoux - Bonté returned to PONEC, the outdoor program expanded significantly under the name VEN.ku TANCI and opened opportunities for cooperation between Czech and international artists such as Yukio Suzuki or Micha Purucker. In the Czech Republic, events took place in 15 other cities and towns. Karina Kotulková assumed the management of PONEC from the new season 2015/16.
