TANEC PRAHA Festival 2017 | 28 May – 28 June 2017

The festival for the first time was held in 20 cities and towns in the Czech Republic. Under the motto "Dance against Prejudice" it presented in the acoustically terrific Forum Karlín another work by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui Fractus V. The same choreographer worked with 420PEOPLE on the co-production of a new premiere. Besides young European talents the festival also opened to artists from overseas, this time Brazil, South Korea and Africa. For example, it for the first time featured the First Lady of African dance Germaine Acogny in cooperation with Olivier Dubois. Besides the Czech-Ghanaian project the outdoor production also featured Spanish and Dutch performers, and the culmination of the program was a piece by Rachid Ouramdane, as well as renowned Spanish ensemble La Veronal.
