Jazmína Piktorová & Sabina Bočková (CZ)

Jazmína Piktorová is a choreographer, performer and teacher. Her work consists of connecting physical theatre with dance, acting and lyrical clowning. She is interested in the intersection of dance and movement education with creation for children, emphasizing long-term and in-depth research. Together with dancer Sabina Bočková, she created the movement-object performance Microworlds for everyone ages four and up. During her engagement at the Drak Theatre, she co-created a devised dance performance for children called And Land Underfoot, which she successfully stages at home and abroad. She teaches as part of the Dance for Schools artistic and educational project produced by Tanec Praha.

Sabina Bočková is a choreographer and dancer, who decided to work as a freelance artist after her studies of classical ballet, modern dance and three-year engagement in ballet companies. She creates her own original works together with Johana Pocková in the POCKETART collective. Their works are part of Aerowaves, the Czech Dance Platform and the European projects Big Pulse Dance Alliance and Shape It!. Alongside her own work she is a long-term collaborator with the independent groups Tantehorse and tYhle as well as with choreographer Marie Gourdian, Cirk La Putyka and others. Fascinated by simple and obvious body languages, she transforms movement through choreographic structures while at the same time addressing topics and themes that echo social and cultural issues.
