POCKETART / Sabina Bočková, Johana Pocková, Inga Zotova - Mikshina

 

Johana Pocková 

Johana Pocková  studied at Duncan Centre Conservatory, half a year at Peridance Capezio Center in New York and two years at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance). Currently she works as a choreographer and performer. In 2017 she got Jarmila Jeřábková Award for her choreography MURDER! A Little Comics History. She created several performances such as Why Not now?, Onto the Scale!, Full Store of Emotions, a dance film Folds of Touch and The Lion’s Den, which has been nominated for the Czech Dance Platform 2020 and selected in the Aerowaves21. Her last author work together with Sabina Bočková and Inga Zotova-Mikshina is Treatment of Remembering which has been nominated for  the Czech Dance Platform 2021. In 2019 she founded a company POCKETART and in 2020 she got 1st prize of Dance News for contribution to the dance scene in recent years. As a performer she collaborates with Tantehorse company and Cirk La Putyka. 

 

Sabina Bočková

Sabina Bočková studied classical ballet and modern dance at Dance Center Prague. She was a member of South Bohemian Ballet and a soloist of Prague Chamber Ballet. Since 2017 she has established herself on Czech independent dance scene. As an interpreter she is part of a nomad project with Alica Minar and coll., cooperates with Tantehorse – !O!-Family Therapy, Vivisectic and tYhle – LEGOrhythm, Medusa (Czech Dance Platform 2019). She is a member of a dance collective POCKETART (Storage Full of Emotions). She created a piece The Lion’s Den with Johana Pocková, which was awarded at Aerowaves and Song lines with Tomáš Janypka. She studies a BA at Charles University in Prague.

 

Inga Zotova – Mikshina

Inga Zotova – Mikshina comes from Siberia, Russia. She studied dance at the dance school in St. Petersburg and at the Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague. She specializes in performance, dance improvisation and physical theatre. She has cooperated with Spitfire Company, she has cooperated with Tantehorse, the Archa Theatre and others. In 2015 won the first Jarmila Jeřábková Award at the New Europe Festival. She is the co-founder of the art group Ferst Dadler, the POCKETART z.s. association and the Guides collective. She studies aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, does yoga and teaches at the Duncan Centre Dance Conservatory in Prague.
